Alice's, Creston, Nebraska

I was still on a high from the taste of Tammy's bloody mary at Calamus Lodge. This was a mental thing, not a too much bloody thing. We were on our way back to Fremont and had a little extra time. Why not check out a small town bar and have a quick bite to eat? Creston seemed like the place to do it and we got lucky with Alice's Cedar Bar. A trendy spot and the food was great. I really wish I wasn't still full from breakfast. $8 for a cheeseburger and fries with a soup and salad bar. I love salad bars..... That's a different story. Of course since we are full swing into bloody mary season I had to sample one.

Appearance: 4/10 Neat glass, weak red, 2 straws...? Why 2 straws? A few floaties I guess.

Garnishes: 2/10 Super trendy salt around the rim. That is it.

Spice/Bang: 3/10 This thing had zing zang in but unfortunately I could hardly taste it because of the overwhelming taste of bottom shelf vodka. Disclaimer... I don't mind using bottom shelf vodka, just don't use half of the bottle in one drink and not jazz it up!

Desire: 2/10 I would love to crush this salad bar again but probably not going to make it back for the bloody mary alone.

Price: 5/10 $3 is a nice price for a not as nice drink.

Overall: 16/50 It's hard to mess up a bloody mary with zing zang in but if you put ZERO EFFORT IN THE DRINK YOU WILL GET ZERO RESULTS!
